ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has accused the Opposition of backing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for their own face saving, ARY News reported.
Those advising us against street agitation were themselves beneficiary of status quo and corruption, said Khan while speaking to journalists here.
He said it’s Nawaz Sharif responsible for sit-ins and protests.
The PTI chief hoped that the Supreme Court will punish Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Panam Papers case hearing.
Regarding leaking of a minutes of national security meeting to a newspaper, he said all indications towards leaking of information leads to the government.
He claimed that government now couldn’t stop people from taking to the streets. “It’s our right to protest when state institutions have been paralyzed by the government.”
Government will suffer if they tried to stop the ‘sea of people’, said Khan.
He said Nawaz Sharif will be responsible if any ‘third power’ takes power. The opposition was also benefiting from the corruption, he added.
